Courtney’s interest in creating was sparked at the age of nine, when she saw Disney’s The Lion King musical for the first time. From that moment on she has been chasing her dream to have a career in the creative arts. Courtney’s artistic ability and passion became apparent in high school when she discovered her love and skill for woodwork and visual arts. After completing an Advanced Diploma in Visual Arts in 2013, Courtney decided that props-making would combine her love for woodwork, the arts and passion for film.
Courtney moved to the big city to attend NIDA and complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Properties and Objects). During her time at NIDA, Courtney has developed her skills as a maker through individual projects and NIDA productions. While studying she has taken every opportunity that has come her way, having already worked as a Properties Maker for Opera Australia and Bay Street Creative, as well as contributing to Vivid Sydney 2016.
Courtney hopes to continue her career working both in theatre and film, not just in Australia but internationally.
