Remy Hii is a Logie award winning actor from Sydney and a 2011 graduate of NIDA's BFA (Acting) course.
In 2018 Remy starred opposite Ioan Gruffud in ABC's hit crime drama Harrow and will soon be seen in cinemas in the Warner Brothers feature film adaptation of the international bestselling book Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan – the first major Hollywood production to feature a principally Asian cast in 25 years.
He began his career on stage with the Queensland Theatre Company and with small roles on television before starring as Van Nguyen in the gripping SBS drama Better Man.
He received the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Outstanding Newcomer and an AACTA Award nomination for Best Lead Actor in a Television Drama for his role in the production. He has continued to work on stage with the Sydney Theatre Company's Golden Age and Playwriting Australia's National Play Festival.
Remy played Prince Jingim, heir to the Mongolian kingdom, in the Netflix epic adventure, Marco Polo, which was filmed in Italy, Kazakhstan, Hungary, Slovakia and Malaysia. He is thrilled to work both overseas and home and is looking forward to begin work on the second season of Harrow, and to returning to NIDA as one its notable alumni at NIDA's Open Day.
