Emily Dupriez

Diploma of Screen and Media (Specialist Makeup Services)

As a child, I frequently helped myself to my mother’s makeup collection (much to her delight!). I thoroughly enjoyed smearing assorted colours across my face. Since then, nothing has changed, except I am much better at it, and I have my own makeup collection to play with.

I enjoy exploring the use of colour and texture, creating looks that are bold, subtle, wearable or completely transformative.

Transformation is a huge part of why I love makeup. People can change throughout the process of being made up, moving from being themselves into a completely different character. Being able to facilitate this development is truly rewarding.

Studying the Diploma of Screen and Media (Specialist Makeup Services) has enabled me to expand upon my knowledge of makeup artistry and has granted me priceless industry work experience. At NIDA we all work together across different creative faculties to bring real productions to life, and that is something you can’t get anywhere else.
